You can be confident that the H4 treated pine used in fences erected by Branxton Rural fencing contractors is environmentally friendly as it is produced from plantation grown forest, a totally renewable resource. Treated pine is versatile and durable, making it perfect for every outdoor fencing project and it comes with a warranty against termite attack and fungal decay.

Treated pine is a preservative treated timber and obtainable in different hazard levels (or usage ratings) for different applications. For instance, if the project you are building is above ground and outdoors (e.g. decking) then pine that is treated to Hazard Level 3
(or H3) would be suitable. However, H3 preservative treated timber should not be used in critical structural applications such as bearers and joists. In the case of rural fencing and vineyard trelis the timberwill be in contact with the ground in a nonstructural application it must be treated to a H4 level to provide appropriate protection from the elements.

The preservative treatment protects the timber from decay and/or termite attack. The preservatives are pressure impregnated deeply into the timber and will provide protection for a very long time. Branxton Rural fencing contractors use treated timber only as recommended where such protection is desirable and appropriate. Preservative treated pine is safe to use, easy to work with and has an enduring look that can last for up to 40 years.
